Course Details

This course is ideal for Healthcare Professionals who have a direct responsibility of receiving, storing, administering and disposing of medication to practice in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as the UK regulator.
 For Healthcare Professionals who have a direct responsibility of receiving, storing, administering and disposing of medication to practice in line with current guidelines of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) ,Patient Group Directives (PGD)and National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE).
To ensure patients get the maximum benefit from the medicines they need, while at the same time minimising potential harm.” (MHRA 2004).
For Healthcare Professionals to practice safely in managing and administering medication empowering patients in their recovery journeys  in a dignified manner that upholds their Human Rights, Consent and ethical values encouraging independence and enhancing their quality of life.

Course Aims

For CCT Skilled Trainers to deliver high quality accredited face to face training with practical skills sessions which is tailored to organisational need and policies. For CCT skilled Trainers to deliver training which fulfils the current Core Skills Training Framework(CSTF), current CQC and NICE guidelines.
