Course Details
This course is for all health care professionals and other workforce disciplines to be trained as first aiders and be able to carry out first aid duties in the event of workplace accidents in line with Organizational Policies and NICE Guidelines
Course Aims
For CCT Skilled Trainers to deliver high quality accredited face to face training with practical skills sessions which is tailored to organisational need and policies .For CCT skilled Trainers to deliver training which fulfils the current Core Skills Training Framework(CSTF), current CQC and NICE guidelines
Course Objectives
- To gain knowledge and awareness of a casualty presenting with a heart attack and deliver first aid
- To gain knowledge and awareness of a casualty presenting with a shock attack and deliver first aid
- To gain knowledge and awareness of a casualty presenting with a choking attack and deliver first aid
- To gain knowledge and awareness of a casualty presenting with an Anaphylaxis attack and deliver first aid
- To gain knowledge and awareness of a casualty presenting with an epileptic attack and deliver first aid
- To gain knowledge and awareness of a bleeding casualty and deliver first aid
- To gain knowledge and awareness of a casualty suffering with Burns, Cuts, Glazes ,Scalds and Fractures and deliver first aid
- To gain knowledge and awareness of how to deliver first aid to a poisoned casualty
- To gain knowledge and awareness of a casualty presenting with a choking attack and deliver first aid
- To gain knowledge and awareness of a casualty presenting with an electric shock attack and deliver first aid
- To gain knowledge and awareness of how to deliver first aid to a drowning casualty
- To gain knowledge and awareness of how to deliver first aid to a casualty suffering an electric shock
- To gain knowledge and awareness of the benefits of ethics, consent to treatment, patient rights and patient centred care to those patients who suffer from various medical emergencies at work and public places
- To gain knowledge and awareness of the benefits of effective communication when working and supporting casualties who require first aid
